The MSRC Freestyle program is designed for those who want to dedicate themselves to the “park” while developing strong a overall skiing ability. The program is centered around providing a safe and fun atmosphere with emphasis on individual progression. Learn to ski switch, slide rails, and spin or invert off jumps. It is not for beginner skiers. Individuals should have a strong skiing foundation.
The program is open to males and females 11 to 18 years of age as of December 31, 2022. Proof of birth date is required for all new members.
Program fees do not include the cost of a lift pass. Lift passes are available directly from Ski Martock and can be purchased online at www.martock.com
All athletes are required to come equipped for training with appropriate clothing for weather conditions as well as a CSA certified ski helmet, properly fitting boots and skis. For questions regarding freestyle specific equipment, our Head Coach can provide more information and recommendations.
Alpine Ski Nova Scotia / Canadian Freestyle Ski Association (CFSA) (Mandatory Insurance)
All Freestyle skiers are subject to a team fee of $65 for a Club Athlete and $115 for a Provincial Athletes (paid directly to CFSA, not included in the MSRC program fees). *Individuals older than 16 who are interested in freestyle training, please inquire as there would be an additional Team / Canadian Freestyle Membership Fee. These fees are due before participating in any MSRC activity. This fee covers your competitor association with the club and your competitors’ license with the Canadian Freestyle Ski Association (CFSA). It does not however provide for coaching services, lift access, equipment, clothing, camp or race related expenses. CFSA requires parents to register athletes individually. MSRC will require proof of registration as stated above prior to any activity with the club.
The Freestyle program includes seasonal coaching support on weekends over a nine (9) week program. The program fee is $630.00 (plus transaction fees levied by our transaction provider) and runs from January 14th and ends March 12th. It includes coaching and support services for the following:
